The first phase of the recycling process of pupler waste, coming from the trommel or from the discontinuous system, passes through the Tecnofer single-shaft shredder.
This unit, designed to handle highly contaminated materials, cuts-and-tears the pulper material reducing it into small pieces easier to treat. The single-shaft shredder is very efficient thanks to the automation technology, which allows a precise and careful management of the rotor rotation speed, with a significant energy saving.
Then the material is transported into the horizontal washing machine with the function of washing and treating the fiber with plastic fractions. Thanks to the centrifugal action, the fiber component is separated from the plastic component, and then it is conveyed to an area for the collection of recovered cellulose, without having an impact on the existing water circuit. In this way paper mill can re-enter the recovered fiber into the production process.
The fiber-free plastic material, otherwise, is continuously loaded into a screw press for the squeezing and drying phase. In this machine, the squeezing level of the plastic material is handled automatically. The automation system monitors the hydraulic backpressure, the amperage of the screw press and its internal temperature, in this way the result will be a plastic fraction with dry values of 80/90%. This greatly reduces waste volumes and management costs.
