Tecnofer created a specific solution for the treatment and valorisation of organic wastes coming from urban and industrial sorted collection. The organic waste treatment plant is based on the separation of liquid component from solid one. The two materials obtained can be later reused in different areas, becoming source of income and not a cost to bear.

Organic waste recycling (OFMSW)

The solution developed by Tecnofer consists of two phases. The first is characterized by the use of the shredding machine for the organic waste which has the task of making the material more workable during the process, reducing its volume and dosing the flow of waste into the squeezer. The second phase starts with the squeezing unit, which with its continuous pressing action allows to dehydrate the organic waste, separating the liquid component from it.

  • The liquid organic fraction can become a source of renewable energy feeding, for example, anaerobic digestion plants (biogas).
  • The solid organic fraction, on the other hand, after being processed is transformed into organic fertilizer used in agriculture.
