With over 30 years of activity in the sector and continuous technological updates, Ospra boasts a prominent position in Slovakia regarding recycling and the subsequent development of products made from recycled materials. The company starts from the collection of waste material and then, through treatment, reaches the creation of a finished product that is immediately marketable.

The company's main products are developed in recycled polypropylene (LDPE low-density, MDPE medium-density, HDPE high-density), a material that comes directly from its own washing and granulation plants. This is where Tecnofer comes in. Ospra Invest entrusted Tecnofer with the development of a specific washing system for LDPE/LLDPE, aiming to further improve its production processes in favor of lower energy consumption and greater circularity.

Goals and results

The project was developed based on the product to be treated, namely post-consumer packaging film flakes. The expected level of contaminants was around 15-25% and included organic fraction, soil, paper, heavy sinking plastics such as PET and PS.

The goal was to provide a high level of cleanliness of the incoming material, as well as to remove the present sinking contaminants. The Tecnofer system, thanks to integrated automation that allows for precise, safe, and autonomous management, as well as the analysis of performance data and continuous monitoring of the line, made it possible to achieve this result by obtaining material with a high degree of cleanliness and optimized energy consumption compared to the old system.
