The client, a major French company, active in the circular-economy sector, cooperated with Tecnofer and other key-players in the recycling industry to develop one of the largest hybrid post-consumer plastic recycling plants in Europe.

Thanks to its expertise and advanced technologies, Tecnofer has provided a tailor-made solution for plastic waste treatment. The company’s contribution materialized in the supply of an integrated recycling system, including washing, hot washing, thermal drying and pre-extrusion storage facilities.

The Project

The main goal of this project is to establish a strategic hub for the management and treatment of flexible plastic waste, with an even broader future vision: becoming a reference centre capable of recycling all types of plastic within a single plant.

Specifically, Tecnofer has supplied highly efficient systems for washing and drying plastic materials, significantly contributing to the final product quality. The core of the installed technology is the innovative hot-washing system, designed for the deep decontamination of plastic materials. Complementing this, the thermal drying system ensures an extremely low-moisture level, essential for subsequent processing stages.

As a result, the recycled plastic material exiting the plant will have the ideal characteristics to be reintroduced into the recycled-product market, promoting a more sustainable and circular economy.
